On November 21, 2024, Anhui Huanxuan Material Technology Co., Ltd. sincerely entrusted the Anhui Chemical Industry Association to prepare and successfully hold a professional review meeting on "Low-Temperature High-Efficiency Ethane Oxidative Dehydrogenation Catalyst Small Test and Single Tube Reaction Performance." The purpose of this meeting was to deeply analyze the excellent performance of the product, accurately assess the practical application effectiveness of various key indicators, and provide valuable professional insights and strategic guidance for subsequent research and development and industrialization processes.
The review meeting was attended by seven reviewers, including Li Chaodong, Director of the Expert Committee of the Anhui Chemical Industry Association, Xu Youhao, Chief Scientist of Sinopec Group, Xu Tongwen, Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, Ding Weiping, Professor at Nanjing University, Wen Jiajun, former Director of the Anhui Chemical Research Institute, Li Jinbing, Deputy Director of Yanshan Institute of Sinopec North Chemical Institute, and Teng Jiawei, Senior Expert of Sinopec. Xu Youhao served as the head of the review expert group. In addition, representatives from Central China Normal University, Ordos Uxin Banner Investment Promotion Bureau, Ordos Uxin Banner Emergency Management Bureau, Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone Science and Technology Bureau, Zhongtian Hechuang Energy Co., Ltd., and Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. were also specially invited. The meeting was successfully and orderly conducted under the chairmanship of Li Chaodong.
At the meeting, our company's chairman, Zhang Xuanyu, provided a detailed report on the project. He stated that ethylene is one of the key indicators for measuring the development level of a country's petrochemical industry, and the innovation and upgrading of its production technology are crucial. Currently, global ethylene production is gradually transitioning from traditional naphtha cracking to ethane cracking. As the amount of ethane produced from oil and gas extraction, refining, and petrochemical by-products in our country continues to increase, how to efficiently utilize this by-product ethane has become an important issue that the industry urgently needs to address. Compared to traditional ethane steam cracking technology, ethane oxidative dehydrogenation technology is still in the exploratory stage, and the development of efficient catalysts is key to breaking through this technical bottleneck. After years of research and unremitting efforts, Anhui Huanxuan Material Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully developed a composite metal oxide catalyst and has completed the laboratory stage of research and development, officially entering the pilot scale-up stage of 1,000 tons/year ethane oxidative dehydrogenation to ethylene.
After listening to our company's project report, the expert group conducted a detailed review of the submitted technical documents and engaged in in-depth technical exchanges with Chairman Zhang Xuanyu. After rigorous and heated discussions, the expert group unanimously agreed that the small test and single tube reaction performance technology of the low-temperature high-efficiency ethane oxidative dehydrogenation to ethylene catalyst has reached an internationally advanced level, with significant characteristics such as advanced technology, mature reliability, and broad market prospects. The experts highly praised the innovation and practicality of this technology and suggested that it be vigorously promoted and applied nationwide. Ultimately, the review meeting concluded successfully, with unanimous agreement to pass the review.
